Santos Press Appoints Marta Maszkiewicz as Lead Illustrator for The Adventures of Chomp the Chimp Series
LOUISEVILLE, KY – Santos Press, LLC is proud to announce that Marta Maszkiewicz has joined the creative team as Lead Illustrator for The Adventures of Chimp the Chimp series, beginning with the upcoming third volume, Chomp the Chimp and the Noisy Night.
A Master of Visual Storytelling
Marta Maszkiewicz brings a profound academic and professional pedigree to the series, holding a Master’s degree in Architecture and a Bachelor’s degree in History. With over 12 years of experience in children’s book illustration, her appointment ensures that the series will continue to meet the rigorous “Santos Press Heritage Standard” for technical and artistic excellence.
The Heritage Standard in Practice
A primary factor in Marta Maszkiewicz’s selection was her mastery of traditional rendering techniques that prioritize a high-texture, graphite, and pencil-lead feel. This “intentional imperfection” is a hallmark of the series, designed to offer a warm, human alternative to modern, over-smoothed digital gradients.

Looking Forward
As Lead Illustrator, Marta will oversee the visual development of the remaining ten volumes in the initial 12-book series. Her first contributions can be seen in the forthcoming release of Chomp the Chimp and the Noisy Night, scheduled for release in June 2026.
