When The Adventures of Chomp the Chimp first came to life, our intent was to create stories that offer more than just a cozy bedtime read. We wanted to give little ones gentle tools to navigate big feelings, whether that’s learning to slow down and notice the world around them, finding joy when a sudden rainstorm changes outdoor plans, or realizing that nighttime sounds aren’t so scary after all. That’s why we are ecstatic to share some wonderful news from the children’s book world! Children’s Bookwatch, a beloved publication of the prestigious Midwest Book Review, recently reviewed the series and gave Chomp their highest level of recommendation:

“Original, entertaining, and thoroughly ‘kid friendly’… unreservedly recommended addition to family, daycare center, preschool, elementary school, and community library collections.” — Children’s Bookwatch, Midwest Book Review

Stories Built for Little Hearts and Big Milestones

For parents and teachers, finding books that hold a toddler’s or preschooler’s attention while supporting their emotional growth can feel like finding a hidden treasure. Every story in the Chomp the Chimp series is designed around real developmental milestones, pairing vibrant, hand-painted art by Marta Maszkiewicz with calm, reassuring narratives:

  • Exploring Mindfulness & Wonder: In The Adventures of Chomp the Chimp, young readers learn how gentle curiosity and paying attention to nature make the world feel safe and exciting.
  • Building Resilience: In Chomp the Chimp and the Rainy Day, Chomp learns that when plans get washed out, flexibility and imagination can turn a gray day into a fun new adventure.
  • Overcoming Nighttime Worries: In Chomp the Chimp and the Noisy Night, gentle fatherly reassurance helps turn scary bumps in the night into a cozy understanding of forest neighbors.
  • Making New Friends: Coming August 25, 2026, Chomp the Chimp Meets Someone New gently guides children through welcoming a shy newcomer with patience and warmth.
